Writing, reading, cooking, eating
I am an essayist and editor with eclectic interests and a particular taste for food. My essays, criticism and reportage have been published internationally and I have edited the work of writers ranging from early career mentees to national prize winners.
I make my living at the Portico Library where, among other roles, I direct the Portico Kitchen, a café and centre for food culture. I host a regular programme of food-focussed events including reading groups, writing workshops, supper clubs and tasting lectures.
